Audio Comment Response
The audio comments helped me see the issues in my paper, just as written comments would. I don't think that the way the corrections were delivered made much of a difference in their effectiveness. I did, however, feel somewhat uncomfortable listening to the comments. I think it may be because there were two people talking at me and I couldn't partake in the conversation. If I had to choose between written and verbal comments, I think I would choose written because I like to see what I should change on the actual writing.

It reminds me of a lecture in a way. I also thought the audio comments were just as effective as the written ones.
ReplyDeletePersonally I thought the audio comments were really helpful but I understand your frustration with the fact that you weren't able to respond with what they were saying. There were definitely times in my recording where I just wanted to say something like, "well I didn't do that exactly, but later I did this, so is that ok?"
ReplyDeleteI agree with what peter just said, in fact I was about to say the same thing haha I totally see what your saying about being talked at rather than having the conversation. It was a little awkward/funny in that sense. I found myself almost talking back out loud once because it was like a reflex. When they would say something and I had an immediate response it was hard to not be able to say anything to them
